Heating technology is changing to meet the global needs to increase energy efficiency and there is a move away from traditional oil-fired radiator systems to underfloor heating powered by heat pumps. Underfloor heating requires water at only 30 45 C. The boiler or heat pump is not required to work so hard and so saves on running costs.

We have installed many underfloor systems where the heating pipes are buried in an insulated sub-floor and do away with radiators which clutter up wall spaces.

Heat pumps take low-energy heat from the air or ground and convert it to usable heat for the home. With an efficiency of performance rating of between 3 and 5, heat pumps create up to 5kw of heat for every 1kw of electricty used.
